About Magen Covenant Ministry

A global Torah-centered ministry dedicated to establishing daily prayer altars, teaching biblical truth, and empowering families for purposeful living.

Our Story

The word "Magen" is a Hebrew term meaning "Shield". Our ministry takes its deep inspiration from Genesis 15:1:"Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward."

Magen Covenant Ministry was founded by Pastor Goodluck Ochiagha following years of dedicated ministry leadership and faithful service within the Sabbath movement, where he served as Deputy General Overseer (DGO).

In April 2025, after a period of intense prayer, scriptural reflection, and spiritual seeking, he answered a divine mandate to establish a daily online prayer platform. Today, Magen Covenant Ministry has blossomed into a global home where believers gather to study the Torah, grow spiritually, seek support, and live productive lives.

Under God's Shield

We believe that in a world filled with moral confusion, economic uncertainty, and spiritual displacement, people need a shield. That shield is not found in human strength, but in a daily, obedient walk with God.

Our Core Beliefs

Deep biblical truths that define our theology and scriptural practice.

01. God Is One (Hear O Israel)

We believe in the absolute unity of the Creator. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We worship Him alone, in accordance with the Shema: "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one" (Deuteronomy 6:4). We encourage believers to worship the Almighty in spirit, obedience, and truth.

02. Why Daily Prayer?

Prayer is not merely for emergencies; it is a daily relationship with God. In accordance with Deuteronomy 6:6-7, God's commandments are to be in our hearts, spoken of when we sit in our houses, when we walk, when we lie down, and when we rise. We believe every household should establish a daily altar of prayer. Gathering daily at 6:00 AM WAT unites believers, brings alignment, and releases strength.

03. Why We Teach The Torah

Many desire a deep relationship with God but don't know where to start. We encourage believers to return to the beginning of Scripture. The Torah (Genesis through Deuteronomy) provides the foundation for understanding God's character, His covenants, His commandments, and His eternal plans. By studying the foundations, we gain a clear framework to live out our faith with wisdom and purpose.

04. Why The Sabbath Matters

The Sabbath was established by God at Creation (Genesis 2:2-3) when He rested on the seventh day and sanctified it. The Fourth Commandment explicitly declares: "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Exodus 20:8). We believe the Sabbath is an eternal gift from the Creator to humanity. It provides rest from physical labor, time for dedicated study and worship, family cohesion, and spiritual rejuvenation.
